Dust Allergy Treatment

Ayurvedic care for sneezing, runny nose, itchy eyes and skin allergy caused by dust

Allergy to Dust

What Is Dust Allergy?

Dust allergy is a reaction of the body to tiny particles in dust - mostly dust mites, but also pollen, mould and pet dander. It commonly causes repeated sneezing, a runny or blocked nose, watery and itchy eyes, and in some people itchy skin or rashes. Symptoms are often worse in the morning, while cleaning, or in certain seasons.

In Ayurveda, the nasal symptoms are related to Pratishyaya and the skin reactions to Sheetapitta. Treatment aims to reduce your sensitivity, ease the symptoms and strengthen your body's resistance.

Our Ayurvedic Approach

Your plan depends on your symptoms, how long you have had them and your general health. It may include:

  • Nasya: medicated nasal drops or oils, as prescribed, for nasal symptoms
  • Internal medicines: Ayurvedic herbs that support immunity and reduce sensitivity
  • Steam & gargles: simple home measures the doctor may recommend for relief
  • Diet: warm, light food and avoiding foods that increase mucus for you
  • Dust control: practical steps such as washing bed linen in hot water, damp dusting and wearing a mask while cleaning

Please note: if you have wheezing, chest tightness or difficulty breathing, see a doctor promptly - these may be signs of asthma.

Medicines and therapies are prescribed only after a consultation. Please do not start any herb or medicine on your own.
